Writing for this site has taken me on epic, unexpected adventures and opened up so many unbelievable experiences ~ one of the most incredible of these was the opportunity to go on set last year with Peter Lindbergh, for the making of the Donna Karan Cashmere Mist campaign. Interviewing Lindbergh about his work was a complete honor, and getting to also sit down with Donna Karan muse Andreea Diaconu was absolute icing on the cake!
I’ve always appreciated the power that scents have to evoke memory, and that indelible encounter is one I’m able to relive every time I spritz a bit of eau de parfum on. I keep a bottle on my dressing table in New York, and another at all times in my Miami beach bag ~ its essences of Moroccan jasmine mixed with sandalwood and amber make it perfectly sensual for city or seaside.

The perfume has long been a go-to of mine, but the anti-perspirant is a newish discovery. I had no idea what I was missing out on! Firstly, the packaging is so chic that I’m perfectly comfortable carrying it around with me (the same could not be said for any drugstore deodorants); more importantly, it works brilliantly (a tough feat in the Miami heat!) and feels impossibly luxurious on the skin ~ much like cashmere, its inspiration and namesake.
The ocean has always been my happy place; with a wide-brimmed hat, a good book and a soft fragrance to refresh me from the sun, I could sit and stare at the sea all day.WEARING| hat, scarf, top, swimsuit, scent
