I Need The Sea Because It Teaches Me

28th April, 2014

Inspired by the contrasting brutality of summer whites and wintery moonscape shorelines we shot for this recent story, I spent this past weekend wandering the Eastern seaside in ivory leather, sweaters and silks. Nothing puts my worries into perspective, calms my soul or ignites my imagination quite like the ocean…NeedTheSea2|WEARING| Ray-Ban sunnies, vintage jacket (I’ve easily worn it one million times), Primary sweater, Ann Taylor skirt NeedTheSea3I need the sea because it teaches me,
I don’t know if I learn music or awareness,
if it’s a single wave or its vast existence,
or only its harsh voice or its shining
suggestion of fishes and ships.
The fact is that until I fall asleep,
in some magnetic way I move in
the university of the waves.
