That Blouse

4th February, 2013

Several of you asked about the blouse I was wearing in this video, so HERE SHE IS. It’s my current favorite! At the risk of sounding hyperbolic, it represents everything I look for in my clothes. It’s as professionally polished as it is slouchily easygoing ~ both work-appropriate and pajama-like. It’s all classic black + white lines, with just a hint of clever color. It’s silky and chic and reasonably priced. In fact, I think I just talked myself into buying a second one, for the inevitable day that I stain/rip/burn/destroy this one by mistake. I know me.|WEARING| Catbird beanie, Westward\Leaning sunnies, Saks scarf, Coach jacket (I’ve loved it a long time!), Elizabeth + James blouse (available HERE and HERE), Gucci bag, Missoni pants, Tabitha Simmons boots|PHOTOS| by Mark Iantosca

I don’t know how a blouse that is over $300 is “reasonably priced”.

  • Domonique

Ok so the blouse is especially epic but let’s not over look the overall outfit which is kinda a big deal too 🙂

  • DJ

How is this reasonably priced? I get that you’re trying to make your lifestyle appear unattainable but you could have done without mentioning that bit and just talked about how it’s worth the very high price instead.

  • Caitlin

When you find something you love, you may as well buy two! I know exactly what you mean about accidentally destroying blouses. I have a bad habit of that, too.

  • Flora

    Great bag!

  • Caity

Such chic color blocking – I adore this layered look. So stylish!

  • Heather P.

I like the blouse…but I LOVE the bag!

Don’t you think that blouse is copying Celine pretty closely?

    Ewe, throw those pants away!!

  • Sarita W.

I really like your blog and your style, but $194 for a shirt? How is that reasonably priced? Once again, I love your style but I think its a bit misleading to say that the blouse is reasonably priced.

That pop of emerald green on the blouse is just beautiful. So very chic. And you look a lot like Jessica Stroup!

  • Krizia Sapida

Reminds me so much of this Celine blouse on Luxirare, but tamed. Would love to see this Celine blouse on you too, though.
