Pulled Back

25th February, 2013

Mark snapped these photos of me while we were in between shots, during the making of the True Grip video. I’m so into wearing my hair pulled back like this lately! I think it’s easy to get stuck in a habit of styling ourselves the same way every day, and I’m trying to challenge myself to avoid getting stuck in that sort of rut lately.Certainly, finding the right products to work with has gone a long way toward expanding my hairstyling options. Are there any amazing ones you think I should try?|WEARING| Ray-Ban sunnies, Timo Weiland coat (also seen HERE) and t-shirt, Christopher Kane x J Brand jeans, Reece Hudson clutch (available in yellow HERE), Michael Kors boots (remember when I wished for them HERE?)

Love the post you showed us with your different make ups and hair style. You look gorgeous in each of them ,as well as on today’s look. This jacket with the furry bottom is amazing and the boots so sexy 🙂 Love your style!

You are gorgeous no matter how you wear your hair 🙂 I too wear it back quite a bit (especially on my non-wash hair days). As a mom, wearing my hair up is usually the only option. Plus, when hair is out of the face, we can have more fun with makeup, accentuating the eyes, lips, etc. I also love to wear it natural since I have naturally curly hair. I tend to try products that are all natural or organic. Do you have any suggestions? Here’s a visual example: http://obsessivision.com/projects/6th-anniversary/

Bumble Bumble Tonic spray and Thickening hairspray really help give my roots a lift when I blow dry, you layer the hairspray over the tonic when wet.

Also, Salon Grafix Infiniteased Dimensional Finishing Spray gives my fine hair a little grip and texture that helps keep it in place!

wow! perfect look! so chic! love it all!

I’m loving this outfit for the “transition” between winter and spring – definitely cosy, but mixing in the florals and that pop of RED!

We’re total opposites when it comes to hair, though – I pull mine up almost every day (mostly out of laziness, partly because it’s always so windy here). I have to make a concerted effort not to rock a ponytail every day!

I do have fine hair, though not quite as much as yours, and found that dry shampoo is the ultimate life saver, especially as hair gets longer and more easily weighed down. Have fun with the length, though – it’s so much fun to play when you have lots there to play with!

ok those boots are you kidding me? want! and your hair looks beautiful. i wish i could pull that pulled back look off. would love to see you try the braided headband look, always loved the seemingly effortless, romantic femininity of that style xo

not to sound weird, but you remind me SO much of Charlize Theron! Gorgeous!

As for products I started using Loreal’s Volume Expand. I have very thin hair! Have you tried it out?

Having the same hair type and growing it out as well, my curling iron and Oribe Beach Wave Spray have been lifesavers over the last few months. I also love the Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray to help with the oilies of my bangs that are also growing out. Recently though, I just starting using the Davines Sea Salt Primer and I may love that even more than the Oribe Wave Spray. It smells devine!

    Killer boots!!

  • You don’t need to wear real fur to look chic! I wish someone as influential and fabulous as yourself would examine the use of fur in the fashion industry. Even Garance Dore and Carine are doing it! http://bit.ly/Zyjha9
