{ A Gown Moment }

I’ve long studied old films of women swanning around in outrageous gowns, and often wished there were more opportunities for such drama in our modern world. As many of you know, before setting out on my own as a stylist, I worked for several years as an eveningwear designer. As an occupational perk, I’ve thus had more opportunities than most to wear some major gowns in my day, and have always been hopelessly devoted to the out-of-this-world glamour the best of them evoke. For Bergdorf Goodman’s recent 111th anniversary celebration, Jamie and I had the privilege of borrowing two such epic dresses, with the most achingly elegant evening coats to top them off.     Wow that green evening satin coat. Has got me drooling. I know, the class of such old movies of women strolling around in gowns. And in hectic city lives you do not have the opportunity to slip in a gown and stroll around like a princess. Unless you are one of course, *sigh*
