Just after Fashion Week wrapped in New York, I jetted off to Paris for a few days with Jamie and Kevin, my friends and creative collaborators. We had a few professional obligations to attend to there, and decided to build in a couple extra days for wandering around the city of light, getting inspired and simply enjoying Parisian life.

|ABOVE| for a lunch date and trip to the farmer’s market, Jamie wore Super sunnies (the same pair she wore HERE! #memories), a vintage scarf, Rae Francis dress, J.Crew belt, vintage slip, Jimmy Choo bag and shoes // I wore Tom Ford sunnies, a White + Warren travel wrap, Rae Francis dress, Jimmy Choo bag and shoes

Inspired by the Old World aura of this still-modern city, we packed a muted palette of pieces ~ lots of classic blacks and tans. I love the idea of dressing for your destination. Appropriately, our Marrakech experience was a riot of color; but life in Paris was a little bit quieter, and so we outfitted ourselves accordingly.
So languorous was our pace, that an entire afternoon was devoted to the search for our new signature scents, in the legendary fragrance floor at Printemps department store. This is the sort of decadent indulgence I could never justify making time for in New York, which made it all the more enjoyable.
|ABOVE| for our safari in scents, I wore my Tom Ford sunnies, a Zara trench (also seen HERE), H+M gloves, plus a Jimmy Choo bag and boots // Jamie wore the same Zara trench with a Satya Twena hat, Calvin Klein shirt, Kenneth Cole cigarette pants and a Jimmy Choo bag and flats
I ended up choosing Serge Lutens’ devastatingly sultry Santal Majuscule for myself and Annick Goutal’s Petite Cherie as a gift for my sweet sister. Jamie selected En Avion Parfum Extrait by Caron and Annick Goutal’s Rose Splendide, to be worn layered together. These scents will forever remind us of the memories we made on this trip, imbuing them with an added richness that will only appreciate over time. We also picked up a few tins of Paris Breakfast Tea by Mariage Frères, to sip on dark New York mornings when our French adventures seem too far away.
We were fortunate enough to coordinate our travel ensembles with a host of Jimmy Choo accessories, as we’d been invited to be a part of their 24:7 Stylemaker series, in which fashionable folks from around the world share the ways in which they work their favorite Choos into their daily lives. Click over to their Facebook tab to see a few more of the ways I wore them ~ and be sure to check back over the rest of this week, as I’ll be posting many more images from our trip. You can also become a Stylemaker yourself by uploading your own looks to Choo247.com!
