At the beginning of every season, I do a closet clean-out, storing clothes from the previous season, donating those I won’t wear again, and doing an informal inventory on where I stand for the new season at hand. This process allows me to knowledgeably shop for a few key pieces to fill in the gaps, then pick up a couple trend items that are applicable to the moment. This fall, I’m looking for some really great flat loafers and a simple pair of sneakers, plus a leather-sleeved jacket and anything in burgundy. I’ll need a few fresh sweaters, a just-deeper-than-nude lipstick, and am toying with the idea of making a statement with bow ties. What are you shopping for?

Elsewhere, in other planning-for-Fall news, I’ve added a few more favorites to The Fancy (which you’ll find alongside picks from other industry insiders like Roopal Patel, Susie Bubble, and Jenne Lombardo) ~ as well as to Shop The Glamourai. Check em both out if you too are looking for guidance on what to invest in this season!
