In the crackling heat of Marrakech, each moment seems lasciviously languid ~ heightened but unhurried ~ and yet treacherously too short at the same time. Hours evaporate like spilled champagne, but we slurped up every second of them that we could.
|TOP PICTURE| Day two began with espresso on the deck of the Four Seasons, then an early lunch at a quiet cafe. From there we were off to tour the Saadian Tombs, resting place of past monarchies |ABOVE + 3 BELOW|
|I WORE| The Row sunnies, self-designed necklaces, Elizabeth + James dress, Pucci fan, Primary clutch, and sandals from Bodhi, a little imports store in Williamsburg.
|ABOVE + 2 BELOW| From there we wandered over to the local pharmacy for a bit of shopping, scooping up oils and herbs, colorful potions with seemingly magical qualities.

|4 ABOVE + 2 BELOW| We roamed around the historic doorways of the royal riads…
…all the while modeling our matching caftanettes, on loan from Rent the Runway (a solid solution to any wanderlust wish or packing problem). Jamie accessorized hers with the same one-of-a-kind necklace I wore HERE.
|ABOVE + 8 BELOW| We ended our afternoon at Majorelle Garden, an idyllic oasis formerly owned by designer Yves Saint Laurent.

|BELOW| As the day waned, we changed into still-parallel looks (the same Rae Francis dress in different colors), and winded our way to the Caftan Fashion Show.
|BELOW| I paired mine (which I’d previously worn in Milan), with self-designed earrings, a Tony Duquette for Coach clutch, and Jean Michel Cazabat shoes.
