After raining such praise on Morocco, I felt it was my duty as a New Yorker to celebrate this city a bit upon my return ~ so my first full day home was spent touring Chelsea’s gallery district.
I’d been encouraged to do so by my friends at 7 For All Mankind ~ and I’m so happy they suggested it! It was one of those elusive New York mornings when the weather is exactly perfect (so cool in contrast to that North African heat), and I was happy to be reminded of just how culturally rich my own city is.
When you stay in one place, sometimes you forget to take advantage of it.

Traveling ~ much like art ~ is so good for the soul; you always come back a bit changed, for there’s something to be learned in every new adventure.
And so I’m letting the aesthetic of Marrakech suggest the way I dress. As you can see, I’m heeding its endorsement of color and caftans and prints and tassels! I have a feeling this may be my theme for the summer.

The ikat jeans I’m wearing are one of my seven favorite 7′s ~ and are actually in intense competition with THIS PAIR for the #1 spot. Check out my other picks on 7FAM’s Facebook page (where you can enter to win the whole lot!), and give a listen to my gallery-hopping playlist while you’re there!
