{ Pack It Up }

For years, I always traveled in palazzo pants ~ but after several too-intimate pat-downs at airport security, I’ve found tighter fitting togs to be a far safer choice. Similarly, I’ve really begun to love carry-ons that don’t need carrying. Good thing backpacks are back! The LL Bean Signature one I brought to Milan has been my favorite of late, but here are a few more I’d like to lug towards the tarmac:| ABOVE | 1. Rugby ($148) 2. Stighlorgan ($161) 3. Ted Baker ($170)| ABOVE | 1. Ted Baker ($242) 2. ASOS (72) 3. Ecote ($129) 4. Lucky Brand ($150) 5. Duluth ($235) 6. ASOS ($63) ABOVE | 1. Acne ($700) 2. Nila Anthony ($64)  3. Gucci ($1750) 4. The Row ($3900 ~ absurd, but I couldn’t resist throwing her into the mix! She’s just sooooo pretty.)

In this post, I’m wearing: Tiffany sunnies, Halston Heritage trench, Maison Scotch shirtDL1961 jeans (also worn HERE). See how it all held up after my overnight flight RIGHT HERE!

I’ve never been a backpack person, but I think I’m finding myself rethinking that lately – especially when I see a backpack as cute as the LL Bean one :)

I understand where you’re coming from completely.  I used to carry a weekender bag with me but that just became too much for my poor shoulder to handle.  So backpacks are better for me.  A lot better!

I really like the direction you are going with your blog especially these posts where you provide links for items similar to your look.  I don’t know how you are able to incorporate the different items into your photos (photoshop maybe?) but it really is awesome!!  Keep up the great work as usual.

I bought one backpack to my mum for her b-day, similar to yours, I’ve checked one for cycling and one elegant bag-packbag by Versace for urban outfits. They’re very handy and great for heavy load. Enjoy your travel.

I’m an interior designer and artist from Los Angeles- and when I’m not designing, searching for amazing interior inspiration online, or stalk piling ideas for future designs and paintings- I’m usually pursuing your blog and seeing what fun things you are up to! I nearly died when I saw you were at the DIFFA event in NYC- I designed a space with a partner of mine, and I wish we could have met!!!!

Today I did a fun tribute on my blog today- and Illustration of you I think you might loveeee! Thanks for all the inspiration and being maybe perhaps the chic’est blogger I stalk daily. You’re amazing.

Ohh my gosh. Obsessed with the L.L. Bean Signature backpack. I love the rustic, yet classy vibes, and the leather accents are key. Backpacks are the best. I use my Longchamps one tirelessly whenever I head to Europe.

You look gorgeous, as always. Wish my plane attire matched yours. :)

Thanks so much for this post. honestly not really a backpack kinda gal but i bought one last year from American Apparel for a trip to Quebec City and I’m surprised how many times I’ve resorted to using to. Your stylish selections, however, have given me pause. I may have to trade in my tote!

    Cheers,

One of my favourite things about you/your blog and a major reason why I come back so often is that you excel in fashion with all its quirkiness and world-unto-itselfness, live a life that most of us only dream about, but still have realistic optics–like the basic absurdity of a $4000 backpack.

     My
daughter and I when to Doll House to buy a Sherri Lee dress   that my
daughter was obsessed with.  I received no service from the sales
staff until I asked.  They gave my daughter a few styles to try on –
when asked what size my daughter would be, she pointed at the dress my daughter
had on and said “that size”.  I noticed that the dresses had no size
tags on them and when I asked the sales staff about that, they got frustrated
with me and gave no explanation.  So I left the store with a much
deflated daughter, went home and ordered the dress online and saved $200.
