I thought it would be fun to enlist my gilded dino buddies (a recent craft project!) to show you a few of my current favorite beauty basics. So, without further ado:
Estee Lauder‘s ‘Surreal Skies’ has proven to me to be THE perfect everyday eye palette. I love priming my eyes with the darkish brown in the center, then smudging it up with the slightly shimmery, taupe-y-mauve-y tone at the top. It’s satisfyingly smokey, but still apropos for daytime appearances.
After I posted about Urban Decay‘s Naked2 palette, I got a lot of questions about how it measured up against the original Naked kit. I didn’t know, so I had to find out! Turns out, they’re both really similar ~ you can’t go wrong with either. Both have all the color options you ever REALLY need, but the original version skews a little lighter in tints. If I had to choose, I’d still go with #2, only because it comes with a deep black that the one above does not. I sure do love a smokey eye!
I wear FLIRT!‘s Big Flirt lipgloss every. single. day. All the colors are fun, but I’m especially partial to ‘Bigger Than Rose’ these days. Somehow it just seems the ideal hue for this not-quite-winter / not-quite-spring season we’re experiencing right now in New York.
As always, I’d love to hear of anything you think I simply must try! I adore playing with makeup.
