backstage at Joseph Altuzarra

13th February, 2012

My Habit,’s discount designer destination, invited me to accompany them to Joseph Altuzarra‘s show on Friday, and write a bit about it for their just-launched blog (although I’m even more amped about their new Designer Tab, which navigates you straight to dizzying deals on the loveliest luxury lines). They also let me slip backstage before the show, where I quietly watched as the models (including my pretty friend Julia Stegner) were given center-parted seventies waves and contradictorily angular eye makeup ~ the combination transforming them into foxy, futuristic French chicks.

But for all the flurry behind-the-scenes, there’s nothing like that moment when the first girl hits the runway, and we finally see the total look, the vision of the collection for the very first time.
