hello friends; happy new year!!i apologize for leaving the blog unattended for so long. after an action-packed year with almost no time off, i guess i just needed a little break. anyway, i’m back, i’m rested, and i’m ready to reminisce a bit about the big, little, and wonderful things that have happened over these past twelve months.IN 2011… i began growing out my previously super-short hair (this is how i style it now). it’s come a long way:

IN 2011… color blocking was big; i also wore a ton of graphic black and white:

IN 2011… i visited milan (twice!), and even got to style the window of dolce + gabbana‘s flagship store in that city:

IN 2011… i filmed this glimpse into my life. one of my best friends got married, and i began collaborating with another on this blog’s photography (thank you jeremy; i’ve loved our partnership!):

IN 2011… i wore my helmut lang crop-back jackets (and my karen walker sunnies) a LOT:

IN 2011… i met one of my design idols, then ended up collaborating on a shoot for her brand, while staying in her decadent malibu beach house (more on that coming later this week!):

IN 2011… i twice more got to work against a backdrop of palm trees, both in brazil (where i modeled in a campaign for corello) and puerto rico (where i styled several upcoming catalogues for LL bean signature). and i learned how to surf during another shoot in montauk:

IN 2011… i had the opportunity to redesign someone’s apartment for the nate berkus show, and worked as a contributor for glamour.com. i created a razor for shick (which will finally hit drugstores around the world in 2012!), and was appointed as an ambassador for tiffany‘s eyewear line:

IN 2011… i was honored to be named one of new york’s 50 most stylish. my love for fashion & design took me to many new places (literally and figuratively!), and every day allowed me to do fun & interesting work:

thank you so much for reading, supporting, and following along with me on these adventures and those still to come. i couldn’t do it all without you!!
PS: in further honor of fresh starts, i am in the process of giving the site a little facelift, so please expect to see some aesthetic alterations creeping in over the next few weeks. change is what keeps life interesting! here’s to more of it in the new year.
